ANTICIPATING MOVEMENT

Shot on a hot day in Epping Forest in June by Graeme Gaughan. We set out to capture the moments of stillness that exist in movement.

It’s in those spaces in between when something shifts.

Soundbites from Graeme Gaughan

“The idea was about trying to capture that moment of contemplation or stillness before or after movement. I like the stillness of some of the shots. And love how the product pops from the back drops.”

“The locations are places that I ride past a lot, Epping forest is like my sanctuary. I've always had this idea to shoot there. So I knew a few glades and spots that would work perfectly for this story.”

“I wanted to work with Rabi and Phil mainly for their genuine connection to running and/or cycling. They are both good guys too who were great and brought the right kind of energy to the shoot on the day!”

“My Epic is the perfect bike for the forest. It’s a custom build and paint, I was inspired by Porsche g series 911’s from the late 70’s/ early 80’s. It’s actually a Porsche colour. Macadamia brown. I had it stripped and rebuilt for Traka this year and wanted something unique that stood out. The colour works perfectly with Portals palette.”
